Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
In our newsletter for February we address two issues pervasive in eastern Uganda society. The first is a culture that defines manhood by the number of women one has sex with and the number of children sired.
The second is an unquenchable desire for easy money that results in the cutting down of thousands of trees and selling them to "charcoal cartels." This leads to landslides that are killing people and displacing survivors.
While those may seem outside of our purview, we discuss how the fallout from both of these creates very real problems in the lives of the people among whom we live and minister. As you read the newsletter, please pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that transforms people and changes culture.
Blessings,
Bear and Caryl
